Are you new to soft pastel and even art in general?
These days there is so much choice on the internet when it comes to art tuition. It can be a bit confusing knowing where to start.
That is why I have put together a Beginner’s Guide to help point you in the right direction and show you some suitable videos to ease you in gently.
You’ll be surprised at what you can achieve with step by step guidance from an experienced artist. Going from copying and working alongside me, to understanding what I’m doing and being able to use the same skills in your own work.

Tutorials
The playlist of tutorials recommended below are all demos made with beginners in mind. They cover a range of subject matter, and in each one you have my full guidance from beginning to end.
Don’t be put off by the other tutorials in the library, these are just some of the ones where I have seen beginners have great success.
The best advice I can give you is to just get stuck into something. Choose a subject matter that excites and inspires you and give it a go. If you discover you need more colours, or that you don’t have the right paper, this is all part of the learning process. The more you do, the more you discover.
