This Winter themed still life is a great introduction to soft pastel or to still life painting. I wanted to work on something cosy over the holidays and this was the perfect small project to enjoy.
I made some mulled wine and set up a few shots. I particularly liked the three objects and the trio of rich colours against the blue worktop. I hope this demo inspires you to have a go either working along with me, or on your own composition.
