This is a long series but there is a lot of information packed into it! White curly fur is possibly the most difficult type to paint. That’s why Artie’s portrait is the perfect tutorial to watch for ideas on how to choose the colours, the types of marks to make, and ways to speed up the process. The background is also included in the tutorial so there is lots to learn from this one painting.
Although this is a large piece with a lot of background elements you can work from a smaller crop of the dog to practise some of the techniques. You’ll find the full reference as well as a cropped version at the link below.
