This full length series will guide you step by step through creating quite a complex portrait. This is not just a tutorial on painting a portrait, but also about painting foliage, tree bark, clothing and flowers.
The photo reference was amazing to work with and it was a real opportunity to experiment with creating a whole scene. Something I like to do in a lot of my work.
This piece might look complicated but my series below is with you each step of the way breaking it down into manageable chunks.
