Finished Painting

This is a shorter project and a lesson in painting more loosely. I am interested in developing other styles I can use in soft pastel so that I can capture more of my surroundings.
This little scene was right outside my gate in the South of Spain. It wasn’t a bright sunny day, rather quite dull. I liked the idea of that challenge. And the fact that the cow is a small scale. That was a challenge! But I want to add animals to my landscapes and sometimes they are not up close, so I want to practise painting more animals in this way.
