The following tutorial series covers just under 3 hours. Instead of showing you the full painting, There are key parts with colour coding and narration.
These tutorials show you some of the difficult elements on the people in this portrait. The portrait was less about getting a likeness in the faces and more about their clothing and hair. I decided to show how I created the man’s suit and the blonde curly hair as both were difficult to do on this scale.
I have another video showing a white wedding dress from a different project if that is something you would like to learn about. But I do intend to revisit the footage from this painting and make more tutorials in this series.
